Easy on page optimization for better search engine results

To me, on page optimization is an important part of SEO which concentrates on improving a website for better keyword ranking in any search engine results. Now I will discuss on how it is possible to improve your on page factors.

The first thing you have to do is to list out major keywords that will be used in your searches. This can be done with the help of a keyword search tool. Next you have to know where to use these keywords.

Use of keywords in URL: You get better results by incorporating your main keywords in the URL. However avoid using too many hyphens in the domain name, and I suggest you use your keywords in directory and file names too.

Use of keywords in your title: I suggest placing your main keywords in the title tag where each title has to be unique and dependant on the page matter. If you have long titles, make sure that the important information of the page is found in the first 60 letters of the title.

Use keywords in description: Add the main keyword of your page content in your description tag. It is important that all web pages have unique descriptions as similar description in all pages will not fit the page content. Remember that the search engines take your description tag into consideration when making a ranking; so ensure that your Meta tag description has keywords related to the page.

Use of keywords in Meta keyword tags: The Meta tag keywords should have some important keywords that are related to the page. Avoid repetition of keywords as this is considered to be spam.

Other places to use keywords: The alt tags of your web page is used for better description of images and as alternative text if there is no loading of images. Keywords should be incorporated in the H1 tag while H2 tags should have more specific keywords that are related to following paragraphs.

I suggest you also work at including target keywords in anchor text, the words in links. Use keywords in your body content; however make them look natural and no overstuffing as this is harmful for the website. It is also possible to bold, italicize or color your keywords. Choose relevant keywords where the most important keywords should be used in the home page, and secondary keywords in other pages.

Make it a point to update your page content periodically. This is because search engines like fresh content; and the more up to date your site is, the more visitors and search engines will like you.

Try out all of this, and I know that you will get a better keyword ranking in your search engine results. This is turn will lead to more visitors to your website.
