Simon Thurston is a business consultant, marketing expert and author of “The Death of Traditional Marketing – A New Revolution is Here“. He lives in the beautiful Cotswolds, in the South West of the UK.
He specialises in results generated direct response marketing, helping traditional “bricks and mortar” service businesses to improve their revenue, gain more clients, as well as very often reducing their marketing costs in the process.
Simon has been involved in Sales, Marketing and Business Development since 1996, and worked for three of the largest companies in their sector. He also spent 2 years in the Middle East working with the Deputy General Manager of a large privately owned conglomerate. This enabled him to conduct and oversea business in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Abu-Dhabi and Dubai.
Simon’s business education started with a Business Studies, Accountancy and Law diploma gained from the Royal Forest of Dean College. He would then go on to graduate from the widely renowned business school at the University of Wolverhampton in 1995, with an Honours Degree in Business, IT and Languages. This also took him overseas for 9 months, where he spent time in the South of France working at the famous Universite Stendhal in Grenoble.
He is a firm believer in constantly learning and is an advocate of Personal and Self Development. One of his business coaches and mentors (Stephen C Campbell) has trained with some of the best in the industry, people like Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy and John Assaraf.
Simon has also been involved with and trained under copywriter and marketing expert Andrew Cavanagh, as well as Chicago-based marketing expert and Google Adwords guru Perry Marshall. He is also a Gold member of the Glazer-Kennedy Inner Circle.
Other influences include the likes of the late Gary Halbert, Drayton Bird, Frank Kern and the great Dan Kennedy, whose books are an ever present in Simon’s office.
