Keyword flooding gets you nowhere

Keyword flooding is the process of cramming as many keywords in a page as possible. Even pages where there are title tags should not be crammed with keywords as more than 12 keywords in a title tag is too much.

There are many people who attempt cramming as many as 100 keywords in a page to increase sales; however I don’t advise this as this is considered to be more of spam for search engine spiders. Moreover, with this flooding of keywords, these spiders won’t be able to consider your site to be specific.

Use short and targeted keywords

It is always better to keep keywords short and sweet as this follows SEO norms, and will give you the best results for your website. Moreover, choose targeted keywords that are more relevant to the content to your website.

This is because by using generic and popular terms, though you may end up with lots of visits from internet surfers, not all will be interested in buying anything from  your site.

To generate targeted traffic, I also suggest focusing the content of your home page with two to five top keywords or phrases. Basically, the more competitive your site is, the fewer keywords you have to choose for using on the site.

Tips for an effective title copy

Use two or three keywords and use them about three times in each block of text to generate maximum traffic to you site.

And regarding the title copy of your page, I suggest that it be less than seven words. Ideally, five words is the best number for an effective title copy that will be easily picked up by search engine spiders.
