Adsense Basics 101-Finding Profit in Adsense

Adsense is definitely powerful and finding incredible results everywhere. While we want our ads to be the best getting results does take some work. There are several ways to make your Adsense account blossom but today we will talk about the basics.

Below are a few ways to get started on the right foot with Adsense:

Step 1: Finding Your Keywords- Adsense is truly a great way to generate income. However if you have not picked the right keywords you could be wasting valuable time and money! Learning to research your keywords or finding someone who is skilled in this field is the first important step in working with Adsense.

Step 2: Article Writing- You want the keywords to be included in the content of your articles. The important part of this is making sure that your keywords flow with the article. You don’t want the article to sound stuffed. Also the primary keyword should be in the title and first sentence of the first paragraph. Keyword density should be 2-3% to be effective.

Step 3: Quality Content- The content of your articles should be related to your ad…or product. It should also be interesting and appealing to your target audience. This will attract more people who are interested in your product or service. It doesn’t make sense to have more traffic if they are not interested in what you have to offer!

Follow these basic steps and you will get traffic. Remember you need to capture the eye of your intended audience!

Many of us feel that if we place an ad through Adsense the money will start rolling in! Nothing could be further from the truth. While Adsense is a great way to improve your revenue. You still must take the time to give the target audience what they want to see.

Tip 3: Change the format of your Ad: Using the large rectangular ad can increase your clicks…why? That’s simple. The ad will look like a website link. Many of our readers are used to this type of link and will click out of habit…(Old Habits die hard) capitalize on this. It will help you in the long run!

Article Directories are taking off in the world of the Internet. While many of us have used article directories knowing how to use them is a big challenge. Let me explain…Many of us are using article directories to promote our websites but not having any luck in increased traffic.

Below are three reasons why this happens:

You are not connecting with the audience- This is number one because it is a large part of the effectiveness of article directories. If you are not connecting with the audience or writing what they want to hear then why would they click your link?

Using link backs effectively- This is important because the more link backs the bigger your audience will become. Getting larger communities or websites to become interested in your site will draw in a bigger crowd.

You must publish content that helps your readers- If the content you are publishing has no value or is not effectively communicated you will not peak their interest. After all the key is to keep the readers coming back. If you give useful tips, information or creditable content the readers will notice.

Learning to use the content, how it is written and keywords properly will give you increasing traffic to your site. Remembering just because it is promotional doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be filled with useful material.

Many business people shy away from the idea of giving away a product.  The fact is that people love to get something for free and a savvy marketer should take advantage of this fact.  The benefit to gain from giving away something for free far outweighs any lost revenue from the freebie.  Say for example you are developing an ebook.  Offer it for free to all that respond.  You will acquire a great many names for your mailing list by offering a free product.  And the mailing list is not the only thing that grows.  Your business can grow as well.  Take the opportunity to include some promotion in the free ebook.  Make sure that your freebie is perceived as valuable.  People will feel as though they just signed up for advertisements if they are not receiving a valuable free item. 

 

That is the difference between those that are successful and those that are not.  Taking advantage of every opportunity regardless of how it presents itself to promote the business is the mark of a professional and successful marketer.

I’m guessing that you probably send out dozens of emails in a single day.  It’s a smart business move to use the signature line of your emails to let your recipients know what you have to offer.  You are corresponding with these recipients for a reason.  Most likely they are clients, prospects, contacts or colleagues.  Never miss an opportunity to promote your business.  Get creative and set up different signature lines for every group of people you correspond with.  This allows you to target the group with a very specific message in your signature line.
